Greatly improved ability to communicate with others. Also, made it possible to watch tv with others without blasting them into the backyard or my not being able to hear the mumbling soundtrack.
One thing I really like is that the hearing aids can be used in either ear. I’m totally deaf in one ear and only have 35% hearing in the other, so paying for two hearing aids seemed like waste, but since I have found they don’t seem to be made for a particular side, I use both of them in the same ear. One at a time. This is especially great when traveling which I’ve unexpectedly done a lot of this year.
